On Tuesday morning we drove back to the mainland and started heading back towards New London,
CT and visited Mystic Seaport in that area. Later we checked into our hotel in New London. On Wednesday
morning we caught the car ferry from New London over to Orient, NY on Long Island. We then drove around
Long Island, briefly visiting Southampton and ended up in Long Beach, NY at our hotel. On Thursday
morning we drove across the Verranzano Narrows Bridge (first time for John) and then headed down the
New Jersy sea coast to Ocean City, NJ. We chose Ocean City because that is where Susan spent several
summer vacations when she was at home living in Philadelphia. On Friday morning we drove down to Cape
May, NJ and caught the car ferry across to Lewes, DE, and then drove the rest of the way home to Arlington.
