We left early in the morning on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 for New Haven, CT, trying to get ahead of the tropical storm
"Ida" that was moving up the east coast. We originally were going to leave on Wednesday, but that would have
been in the midst of the storm. In New Haven we walked through Yale University (just a little), saw the square
and had a good dinner. We drove to Newport, RI Wednesday morning, checked in and drove around Newport including
Castle Hill Inn, the venue for the wedding. That
evening and night the storm passed through. On Thursday we explored some, visiting the Breakers and visiting
the International Tennis Hall of Fame, where we attended the welcome dinner that evening. On Friday we
explored around a little more and then attended Brittanny and Will's wedding and reception late that afternoon and evening.
