We returned to the Old City on our own the next day and wandered around more casually
where we also visited some shops and added some creches and jewelry. We did return
to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where there is a tradition to bless religious
tokens on the rock where Jesus was laid after being removed from the cross. While
there we found the line for the tomb structure to be shorter so we waited (about 35
minutes) and visited the tomb. Only about 4 people are allowed at a time, you can't
take photos, and they have a gatekeeper to keep it all moving. Our visit to Jerusalem
was quite rewarding.
