Maderia, Portugal

Our first port of call was the island of Maderia, Portugal, an extremely mountainous volcanic island, covered with vegetation and flowering plants. We took a hop-on-hop-off bus ride around the city and the surrounding area. That day was also the annual flower festival, so down by the port there were a number of people in costume and a big collection of vintage autos ready for a parade.
