The ship docked close enough that we could walk up to the Old Town where we purchased a Tallin City
Card. The old city contains a lot of old medieval buildings and city walls with a
variety of old sites to visit. Our walk took us over many cobble-stoned streets, through
small passage-ways, up and down old worn stone stairways, and through many small medieval streets.
We visited several old churches and climbed up two church towers through small spiral staircases
(very difficult when someone going the opposite direction had to pass). We also walked along one
of the best preserved medieval city walls with several of the towers still intact.
